Ilaria Shaye Kitarni is the sole heir to the Midorian Throne, but she will never be permitted to rule.

On the eve of her wedding to her childhood best friend, she unwittingly thwarts an assassination attempt, and is kidnapped by the Tronovians, the sworn enemy of the Midorians.

Determined to escape her captors, she burns their boat and swims to the shores of the Jungle Kingdom of Bava. But instead of getting away, she thrusts herself, and the three magic-wielding brothers who captured her, into perils she’s only ever read about in books.

During the long trek through Bava, she discovers hidden truths not only about the people she loves most, but about herself as well. Never trust a Tronovian. That has been beaten into Shaye’s head for as long as she can remember, but could it be, the only people she can trust, are her enemies?

A Song of Shadow and Starlight is the first book in a NA Fantasy Romance and Adventure series!

"Atlas," I whisper, but he's upon me before I can finish. His hands cup my face, his shadows dance around me, caressing my arms, legs, and neck. "Can you feel everything your shadows touch?" I ask breathlessly, overwhelmed by the gentleness of his shadowy touch.
There's a flash of surprise in his eyes before they turn molten. "Yes." His voice is low, like he's admitting a deep, dark secret.
I twirl my fingers through the ghostly wisps. They swim across my neckline and slip down the front of my dress, settling above my heart. He shudders when my breathing is ragged. Hovering above me, he stares at my lips, and I swear he's restraining himself from kissing me.
"Do you think about it?"
His question confuses me. "Think about what?"
"Me kissing you?"
"You've already kissed me."
"Answer my question, Princess. And remember, I can tell when you're lying. My shadows can feel your heartbeat." His shadows twist around my wrists, right above my pulse points.
I undo one of the buttons on his dress shirt and slip my hand inside, pressing my palm against his scarred chest. "And now I can feel yours."

about

Morgan Gauthier

MORGAN GAUTHIER lives in East Tennessee with her husband, Brad, and their three children, Remi, Archer, and Roux (who are 6 years old and younger!). If five people wreaking havoc in the same house wasn’t enough, Morgan also has three dogs, Shadow, Skye, and Bubba.

Her first book, Wolves of Adalore, was published in 2021 and is the first book in an Epic Fantasy Trilogy. The Mark of the Hunter Trilogy is officially complete and totally binge-worthy!

Morgan also writes Contemporary Romantic Comedies. Aloha, Seattle and The Maine Attraction are now available, and she is definitely planning on writing more in the genre.

If Morgan isn’t writing or reading, she can be found binge watching shows on Netflix, playing video games, attempting to cook like Gordon Ramsay (not even close to his level), and counting down the days ‘til summer ends and fall begins.
